Title: Colorado just moved football to the spring
Post by: tstearns1 on August 04, 2020, 06:58:37 PM

Just got word about two hours ago, Colorado has decided to move the football season to the spring. It sounds like an early March start date for week 1 games, with a 7 game season. Only 8 teams per classification (5A, 4A, 3A, 2A, 1A) will make the playoffs.

What effect will this have on the baseball season?  I expect there are probably kids and officials that participate in both sport.

As of now, they're saying all sports will have a shortened season. Football will be in the late winter/early spring with normal spring sports happening in late spring/early summer. So there should be no overlap of fall/spring sports in the new spring season.
