Had an... unusual cause for a penalty Friday night. 6 man game, spread, coach on my sideline is A, just before the snap, he starts yelling to get his guys in the correct position - Over there, further, GO!!! And on GO!!! he caused the defender right in front of me on the spread wing guy to jump across, as the ball was snapped. He clearly reacted to the coach's yelling on the sideline, but I still had a flag down for offsides on the defense... I don't recall any disconcerting act rule that would allow us to wave off the penalty? The coach was definitely yelling at his own players, but also definitely caused the defense to jump.
