Item 11
Onside kick, 4th period. Crew has "6 in the box." Ball kicked toward side opposite the press box (to U, H, and S side).
Ball first touched by Team B. Spot markers dropped by U and S. Why? Clock not started. Why not?
When the ball is legally touched in the field of play, the game clock should be started (unless the player 'touching' the ball catches/recovers it and is grounded, or going to the ground). In this case, the ball was muffed by B, and subsequently recovered by A.
No need for a spot marker. Nothing to mark.
Clock should have been wound when muffed by B. Then stopped after A recovered it.
