Title: Dead Ball?

Does a loose ball become dead if it bounces off a non-player who is standing out of bounds and comes back into the field of play?

Yes.  Loose ball touches ANYTHING out of bounds, it's dead.

2-29-3: "....when touches ANTHING ….that is out of bounds" Exception may be in arena football.

I knew it was dead but I was killing myself trying to find it in the rulebook(Rule 4). It's good at times to have someone place their hand upon my noggin and point me in the right direction!!!

When unsure of a ruling, the best spot to start digging is Rule 2 - Definitions of Playing Terms - often the answer will be there.
