I saw that on Twitter. IMO, the best thing the officials could have done was move to the middle of the field and let law enforcement handle that situation. To stick around and "try to help" was not the best policy...

ABSOLUTELY agree, You can NEVER win an argument with a fool.  Thank God for "Field Security", who are there, specifically, to protect you.  On your way into, or off the field, should you pass Security, a simple (private) "Thanks for being here" goes a long way.

   i would be willing to bet that there was alcohol involved on the fans side.  seen this way too many times.

Just walk away and let site management handle.  Never get in a discussion with fans.  NEVER!

Too me, fans can be like a kennel of yapping dawgs....they may just want to be just petted....but then again they may not  :o.
