Very close to job retirement, so I have time on my hands. :)
Include clock status in all rulings.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
2/1, 50, 2:15 (4), A=7, B=14.
A12 receives the snap and runs to his right, looking for an open receiver. Unable to find an open receiver, A12 attempts to advance for a first down. At the A-48, near the right sideline, A12 is encircled by B99 and B75. Still moving forward, but will clearly unable to reach the line-to gain, A12 throws the ball from the A-49 out of bounds at the A-48, and the game clock stops with 2:02 remaining in the 4th period.
Ruling:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
4/10, A-40, 6:00 (2), A=7, B=0.
A11 receives the snap and punts the ball high in the air. At the B-30, B90 throws his right arm up above his head and swings it to the right. The ball lands at the B-20 and is bouncing toward B's goal line when B90 blocks A88 in the chest at the B-30. The untouched ball bounds out of bounds at the B-10.
Ruling:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
3/10, A-40, 7:51 (3), A=15, B=11.
A12 receives the snap and throws a legal forward pass toward end A88. At the 50, A88 jumps to catch the ball. With his back to the ball, B90 reaches up to, hopefully, deflect the ball away from A88. However, B90's thumb enters the ear-hole of A88's helmet, with the rest of B90's hand laying on A88's helmet, causing A88's head to turn sharply. The ball deflects off of A88's hands and falls incomplete.
Ruling:

Nice play situations, I'll bite.
1) 3/7@A-44, 25, ready. Illegal backward pass to conserve time. The penalty is enforced from the spot of the foul.
2) Team B 1/10@B-5, 25, snap. Illegal block by a player who made a signal for a fair catch. The penalty is enforced as PSK, so enforce from the end of the kick spot.
3) 1/10@B-45, 25, snap. Grasping and turning an helmet opening. Enforce from the previous spot. If the covering official doesn't think the action qualifies as grasping, then it will be 1/10@50, 25, snap, after penalty enforcement for DPI as B90 did not have territorial rights nor does this qualify as incidental contact.

Perfect, of course. In 1), I was mostly looking for the fact that the game clock starts on the ready, by rule. In 2), yes, PSK. In 3) penalize as UNR instead of DPI, being more advantageous for Team A.
Hope all is well with y’all in Europe.

Now do #2 but it's a free kick instead of a scrimmage kick. ^-^

I debated which to use, but I went with a scrimmage kick to get to PSK. OK, ask and ye shall receive. See next post.

How about another:
Free kick after a safety, A-20, free kick timing (25), 14:58 (1), A=0, B=2.
A10 punts the ball high and deep. At the B-30, B90 raises his right arm above his head and swings it from the right to the left, and then from the left to the right. B90 then throws himself into the upper front body of the onrushing A75 (no contact with, or to, either player's heads). A moment later, B88 makes an invalid fair catch signal and then catches the untouched kicked ball at the A-15 (with no intent or attempt to advance). At the very moment B88 completes the catch, A99 wraps his arms around B88 and non-violently carries him to the ground.
Ruling:
(Bonus points for offering a scenario that would have led to the originating condition of this down. ;D)

And with this year's rule change, in 1), the clock will run for 2 seconds and then stop for the Two-Minute Timeout.
At which point, cue internet commentators discussing the logic of why A12 did what he did. ;D

Rainy but nothing like over there.

And with this year's rule change, in 1), the clock will run for 2 seconds and then stop for the Two-Minute Timeout. Precisely.
At which point, cue internet commentators discussing the logic of why A12 did what he did. ;D Logic? Hahahaha.

Warm and dry here in Lubbock, Texas. But Florida will be a disaster zone for years to come. Not much you can, or should, do about Mother Nature. Move to higher ground, and let the gators have the swamps.
