Title: Entire squad goes down with "cramp"
Post by: dammitbobby on October 21, 2025, 01:31:38 AM
Yall may have seen the shortened version of this, but here's a video with more context and background.

How would you handle this?

I know what I would likely do. It probably wouldn't be supported by higher ups LOL.

The UIL clearly CHOSE an exception to the NCAA Rule regarding injuries. We should stick to their exception, and interrupt the game and let the team tend to their "injured" players. If this happens in a UIL game, and the UIL wants to take action on this multiple injury thing, which is, clearly, making a mockery of the game, then the UIL needs to take action on this, and leave us out of it. (Prohibit post-season appearance would do the trick.)

Curios what is the rational NOT to adopt NCAA rule?  I can say over halfway thru the season, we havent had to enforce the new rule once on Saturdays this year.  Personally, i think the new rule is having a positive affect.

So why not use it on Fridays?

I’d be more upset with the coaches on the field. Give me 11 new players for your “hurt” players. Flag the coaches for their behavior.
