Title: ESPN2 - Jax State, Middle Tenn
Post by: ElvisLives on October 29, 2025, 07:22:49 PM
Game on ESPN2 - Jax State, Middle Tennessee right now. C is working a traditional U position, and I can’t see a U anywhere. Injury? Anybody have positive knowledge?

The early plays in the highlights show C behind the offense and U with the defense, so an injury is the most likely reason.

Thanks. Too cheap to pay for any sort of DVR or recording service, so I have no way to replay. Yeah, that would seem like an injury. Hope he/she is OK.

I was watching the wrong set of highlights. These ones have C there from pretty much the start.

Pre-game injury or travel issues?

I just looked the game up on DVSport 360 and it doesn't look like there's anyone in the middle of the field for the opening kickoff.  On the first play from scrimmage, the official in the umpire position looks to have a C on his pocket.

Disclaimer: I was watching it on my phone and my eyes aren't as good as they used to be.
