Title: HAPPY BISESQUICENTENNIAL or SEMIQUINCENTENNIAL.....
Post by: Ralph Damren on December 31, 2025, 07:07:46 AM
As we near the midnight hour, we approach our country's 250th birthday. I'm told the milestone can be spelled diifferently, but to me, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY,USA  yEs:' will do with the real celebration coming on July 4th.

Our celebration will only consist of dinner at home and trying to stay awake until midnight. Being an octogenarian, that may become a challange. However, I was up until 1:30 AM on election night until the key state, Pennsylvania was called :). Tommorrow I have a list of 40+ friends and relatives to call and wish HAPPY NEW YEAR  8]. Would enjoy hearing how you celebrate our New Year....

HAPPY NEW YEAR  tiphat:

Would enjoy hearing how you celebrate our New Year....

New Years Eve = Watch some football.  Maybe watch the ball drop.  Probably have a new year’s drink.  No parties as I don’t trust other drivers on NYE.

New Years Day =  Family dinner and watching a LOT of football!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I agree with you, Snapper, celebrating is much safer at home then traveling the roads. I'll leave that to the younger sect, remembering an ole' saying: "New Years is for rookies  :) " A family gathering for brunch tommorrow followed by some/much football for my New Year's day. My football focus is Suday late afternoon with the Patriots.  yEs:
