Hi,
Here is my question : A80 is positionned as end on the LOS. At snap and without turning towards his goaline, he runs behind the LOS and takes the ball from the QB. The handoff takes place 5 yards behind the LOS.
For me this is a foul for "handing the ball forward" 7.1.6.b : 5 yards from the spot of foul and also loss of down.
Are you agree ?
Thank you in advance !!

Agreed -
When A80 goes in motion from the line, After the snap he must first turn and face his goal line as he first goes in motion, then he can legally receive a forward handoff.

Just to be a picker of nits, A80 could not go in motion from the line until he steps back and established himself as a back...then he can receive the ball any old way he wants.
Best regards,
Brad

Good nit. He would actually have to turn and face his own goal line after the snap since as Brad nits, he can't go in motion if he's not legally in the backfield prior to the snap. My bad choice of wording - it's been corrected.
