Watching the Iron Bowl. Ball snapped from B25. DPI called at the B3. Penalty enforced and next A snap is from B10. Is the enforcement here different than NFHS? In NFHS, no foul can take the ball more than 1/2 the distance to the goal line.

Ncaa rules permit full 15 for DPI as long as it does not put ball inside the 2

Thanks for the clarification, Mike.

DPI enforcement in the NCAA:
Start marching toward the defense's goal line. Stop when you reach:
15 yards
the spot of the foul
the 2 yard line
whichever comes first. In any case, first down.

In addition, the first and third options (15-yard penalty and the 2-yard line) are enforced from the previous spot. If the previous spot was on the left hash, so is the succeeding spot. The middle option, spot foul, is not enforced from the previous spot. The ball is placed at the spot of the foul, or on the nearest hash if the spot of the foul is outside the hashes.

Also DPI on a try.
Make sure the try is from the 3yd line!!! If the try is from anywhere else, it's 15, flag, or 2, as normal.
