Does anyone have info on how the R from Mac/Laredo game is doing? I heard he broke his leg in the game at the Alamodome this weekend. Hope he's okay.
-
The last I heard he was in surgery early this afternoon. He has a broken leg and a broken ankle.
Any updates I get I will pass it along.

How did it happen? I don't think I've been involved in a game where the R is injured. Maybe on a turnover? On second thought, I think I did see Doc get injured one time, but that was when he fell off the stool at Hooters after the game.
Hope the Houston official is back on his feet soon.
Best regards,
Brad

It might be time to rerun that "Crash Marcum" video again.

He had surgery over the weekend and had screws put in his ankle and leg. Both were broken. He is supposed to be coming home to Houston today. There is supposed to be a video clip of it on youtube, but i can't find it.

Did they 4- man the game after the injury?

Let's all hope and wish him a speedy recovery. That sure sucks to get hurt.

Wishing my friend and fellow Referee Jim Hallmark a speedy recovery from this setback! God's speed to you, Jim! z^

Did they 4- man the game after the injury?
No. They picked up an official from San Antonio off the chain crew who apparently did a great job in the second half. Brothers from one chapter helping another.

Our crew generally takes an alternate with us during the playoffs for this very reason. Fortunately, nothing has ever happened but it is nice knowing there is a person there to fill in if something does happen.
