Title: Defensive Holding On D-Lineman
Post by: VA-Ump on December 31, 2010, 08:54:15 AM
Sitting in a restaurant last night trying to watch the NC/UT game from across the room and saw a defensive holding foul called by the U on the B lineman who grabbed the A lineman keeping him from picking up the blitzing LB.   I think it was late in the 4th quarter.

Did anyone (.... Mike...) get that play.  Its something I'm seeing a lot these days and I want to use it for our video review for our Umpires next year.

TXMike - can you post the video for us?  It's a classic and one of the only times we should call holding on a defensive lineman - IMO.  Good teaching material for our high school officials out here on the left coast.  thanks.
