Title: This is some bright turf!
Post by: TexDoc on January 06, 2011, 12:55:37 PM
New Braunfels Canyon HS has the first red turf for a high school in the nation.  Personally, I think it is neat!

What a sight! Now just how long do you think it will be before they'll place this stuff down in Jones/AT&T Stadium in Lubbock?   z^

Who do you think will be first to jump on this bandwagon in the Greater Houston area?

If they had their "own" stadium, then I'd say Katy HS. But if they ever rip the turf up out of Robertson Stadium, then maybe U of H! z^

Does this mean I will have to pick Red IT off of my game socks or will it still be the Black rubber beads?

Note to Grant: Hope I avoided the censors.

Awful. Rule 1 needs an amendment: Fields must be green.

Brown astroturf, now there's an idea.  ;D

Just send a crew of red/green colourblind folks (like myself). We'll not notice the difference anyway!  ;D (Maybe).

When I get to play on a 100 yard, correctly marked pitch more than twice a  year I'll start worrying what colour it is [maybe/not].

If they start banning colors from fields, can we ban the yellow natural grass with blue markings some of us in Amarillo people get to call on late in the season?   I swear one of our stadiums is yellow with blue spray paint.
