Title: Flagrant Personal Foul ?
Post by: TXMike on January 07, 2011, 05:21:18 PM
I believe most would agree this (hit on B97) warrants a flag.  Does it also warrant ejection?

I agree at least a flag for PF. I wouldn't get any heart burn over it being deemed flagrant either.

That is a pretty impolite thing to be doing to someone.  There's no way you can call that an attempt to make a legal play.  I've got an attempt to injure and at the level I officiate, I'd have trouble keeping someone who's doing that in the game (on the "he's gotta go to work tomorrow" principle).

It's not a clear-cut no-arguments situation, but like Welpe I've got absolutely no issue with an ejection here.

I don't think Ramsey saw that because he didn't say anything and that AT LEAST deserves a "you better not pull that crap again" or something to that effect.

It's no different than a punch to the face...maybe worse!  An obvious attempt to injure a player who is no longer a part of the play.  I say it's an ejection.

No problem with this being called intent to injure
