hats off to Bill L. and his crew - well worked game - no issues - smooth pace - whenever our brothers perform this well on the national stage it trickles down to all of us - and the media can go elseware to create their officiating controversy!

Agree - well said

Great job. Well run game.
-
There was no doubt as to who was in charge last night. Props to the crew for a well-officiated game.
Sidenote: Here in Alabama, the weather service has issued an advisory for flying pigs.
-
Cute Bama! But they are flying on Eagle's Wings!! ;D
-
I do have a question for Bill. It appeared that Newton didn't wear a mouthpiece the entire game (entire season?) Was that just a TV optical illusion?
thanks
Brad

I agree. Kudos.

awesome job by the wing holding the whistle on that long running play on the last drive!
and good thing the kid didn't flip the ball to the official! although if he threw it forward to the official and it hit the ground, that would';ve been one of the strangest illegal forward pass penalties ever. (mussberger's head would have exploded, Scanners-style, trying to understand that explanation ;D)

mussberger's head would have exploded
We could only hope.

Amen!

Definitely the best officiating performance I saw in a bowl this year. My pick for second would be the Conf USA crew that worked the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. They were the most efficient college crew I have seen, albeit not quite the overall caliber of Mr. Lemonier and his crew last night.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Auburn receiver making a signal and then blocking?
-
I saw that, it was in the second half I believe and the receiver let the ball go over his head into the endzone... Receiver gave a "weak" fair catch signal and then blocked one of the coverage men.

Agree with other posters! I thought the crew was "on their game" all night long! Makes you feel good when fellow officials have such a great performance on such a big stage! Way to go! ^TD
