Good day to be a DIII official in one of these conferences (assuming there are not significant cuts to staff)

Good for them!! I am a member of the MFOA and the resources are unbelievable!! It is a great system to be able to move guys around to get them seen and working at different levels. Bill and his staff do a tremendous job!!

Yeah, we're all pretty excited about it up here in Wisconsin. We should be receiving some more info on it in the next few weeks.

Bill Carollo is the supervisor of officials for the Big Ten conference. There will be some cuts of the officiating staff. These vacancies will be taken up by Big Ten officials that have an off week or the Big Ten is looking at.

I would highly doubt that any Big Ten guys will be working D3 games on their off weeks. As for reductions in staff there have been no staff reductions in the B10 MAC or MVC so I would not expect reductions in these 4 D3 conferences. Just guessing

Being in the IIAC (Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) was a little bummed out we got excluded in this.

I have worked in many of the Div II & III conferences that the MOFA will now assign and the number of crews will be reduced.  Wisconsin will lose at least 2 and Illinois up to 4. Crew chiefs meet with Bill Carollo and his assistants in Milwaukee on 2-27 and will hear then which crews will be dropped.  My crew chief has tried to find out the criteria that is or was used to decide but has not been successful.  Hopefully all or most of my crew will be working this fall!
