Title: New Concussion Rules for Texas HS football
Post by: Etref on April 05, 2011, 02:41:37 PM
I read in the paper at lunch that UIL has basically adopted the NFHS concussion procedure. That means if a player goes out he does not return that day. He must be checked by a qualified, licensed medical practitioner.

I do not have the article but it was in the Houston Chronicle

1 - Hopefully this will not be given to us to enforce.

2 - It only applies if the medical personnel on site determine it was a concussion.  If they miss it, then it will not apply.
