This was a great addition to my portfolio of training material last year and I have already ordered my copy of the 2011 version.

 ^good

Great job on the DVD Mr. LeMonnier.

I received it last week (yes, the check is in the mail) and have already gone through it twice. Put it on my phone so that while on the elliptical at the gym and in between target heart rate and a coronary, I can keep my mind on the game.

Thanks again.

Great idea on putting it on your phone.  I need to do that myself.  Feedback has been good so far... over 700 out in circulation in about a month.  Glad to hear it is worthwhile.  It was fun putting it together.

Is this DVD applicable to NCAA/TASO mechanics or just federation?

2011 Crew of 5 Training DVDs are based on NFHS games... that said 90% of the content is about "best practices" in officiating with about 10% being specific to federation rulings.  Feedback has been very positive about how to officiate rather than rule specific.  The past 3 years we have had a high number of Texas officials order the DVD and comment favorably on its value.

I picked up Bill's video last year and it was definitely good material, I have even given it a look already this year.  Also the aloha clinic videos are good as well, even previous years installments, in either case if they start talking some ruling/penalty enforcement that makes no sense, just tune it out or fast forward to the next play because you may very well be in an NFHS zone.

The majority of both is content that applies more to philosophy of officiating football than strictly penalty enforcement.  That, I feel is just as important as knowing the full rulebook inside and out, especially for beginning officials.

Thanks for the note from Juarez, Mexico.  I'm well aware of the football being played in Mexico.  I've been to Mexico City 2x to do clinics and worked an international game there.  Great experience with the Mexican officials, players and coaches.  Enjoy the DVD.
