I've had my eye on that Gore-tex jacket for some time but no way was I springing $200 for something I might wear twice a season at most.
We are prohibited from wearing jackets except in pre-game and halftime. I could never get a good enough look at the collar to see if it would pass for a long sleeve shirt if tucked in on a foul evening.
My understanding is the NFL has a SS shirt, a LS shirt and then a foul weather pullover jacket that mimics the LS shirt and I was wondering if this jacket would replicate that.

I wish I could help you out with that question, but I have no idea. You might try calling Honigs @ (800)666-7827

I got one of these for foul weather, I'm pretty impressed with it. The first couple of times I wore it, I felt I'd got my value for money as I was so much warmer...

You can also buy the Windstopper membrane separately as a pullover shirt to wear under your shirt - highly recommended! One of the pest pieces of "extra" gear I have.
You can find them here (G13 and G14): http://www.honigs.com/ColdWeather (http://www.honigs.com/ColdWeather)
It's not waterproof, but it's windproof and also traps air like all layers do, and this helps you keep warm. Well worth the money if you work any games in cold weather.
