Title: First Day of Scrimmages UIL Allows
Post by: TexDoc on July 11, 2011, 11:50:59 AM
I found this on the UIL site:  http://www.uiltexas.org/football (http://www.uiltexas.org/football)

It says the first day of scrimmages for non-spring practice 5A and 4A and all of 3A and below is Friday, August 12.  That's different from what we have seen in the past, where the first day has always been a Saturday.  Is the UIL site in error, or is the first day actually Friday, August 12?  We don't show any on our schedule before Saturday, August 13.

We have some on friday. I like it because we won't be so covered with all of them on Saturday.

Smartest thing those boys on Manor Road have done in a while, for sure.

With my fair skin, I can't do Sat. morning scrimmages. There during the most sun-intenese part of the day is a no-go for me. Evenings are actually hotter, but not as sun intense.

And I've noticed that with the Saturday scrimmages the coaches sometimes just want to keep going...and going...and going...and going....
