Title: NFL going to Eight official crews
Post by: RTBackJudge on November 13, 2011, 04:06:28 PM
I've heard rumers that the NFL is going to eight man crews on he field sometime in the near future. Anyone have any insight in this? Is it coming? How would the eighth official be deployed from a mechanics standpoint?

Don't see the need. I won't go on the soap-box....

I have heard from a reliable source that 15 officials are retiring as well.  This will make a total of 32 new hires for next year.
