I know UIL says we use what we have, but I'm just wondering when and if this has happened.
-
I believe that we had a game in Texas Stadium where the pro goal posts were up.
-
San Marcos home games are played at Bobcat stadium with the NCAA goal posts.
-
Yes, on several college fields.
-
Pretty sure I did a set of jr high games on a field with 18'6" goalposts. In Bastrop, I think.
Nobody kicked, though.

Definitely! The most vivid recollection is from the high school games officiated at the Astrodome, Texas Stadium, and also Reliant Stadium. z^

Brother! You know all too well! At Texas Stadium, you were paid almost the time that the ensuing football season was kicking into gear. Either that, or you were severely underpaid. I would reckon that's what happens when they let one of the competing school districts handle the large gates and the payroll there!
Can't really complain about the payroll people at the Astrodome or Reliant. If anything, they paid in excess! The Houston Sports Association absolutely refused to let the school districts cut their playoff checks for them! Simply put, they like to run their own show! z^

I didn't work this game, but was in attendance when two HS teams played a playoff game at a unmodified BCS stadium, i.e., 18'-6" goals. Team X missed a field goal to win the game by less than two feet, then Team Y missed a field goal to win the game in the first extra period by less than 2 feet. The winner eventually won via a TD. Both HCs were probably kicking themselves for agreeing to play at a site with 18'-6" goals. But their ADs and Superintendents were probably OK with the 30,000 attendance (less the UIL's take).
