With the new rule moving the Free Kick to the 35 yard line, does anybody think they forget to move the penalty option for a Free Kick Out of Bounds or they just trying to help the kicking team?
So for this year, Free kick OOB now moves the ball to B's 35 yard line (or use the other options), compared to a touch back to the 25 yard line.
Thoughts, comments?
thanks

Not exactly sure what the question is but the enforcement wording works regardless of the 2012 changes:
PENALTY—Live-ball foul. Five yards from the previous spot; or five yards from the spot where the subsequent dead ball belongs to Team B; or the receiving team may put the ball in play 30 yards beyond Team A’s restraining line at the inbounds spot [S19].

I think the question is, SHOULD the wording remain the same, or should it be changed to 25 yards so the ball still goes to the 40 (in most cases)?
By leaving it at 30 yards, there is only a 10 yard difference between a kick OOB and a kick in the end zone. If that's the case, expect a lot of kicks into the corners.
