Title: NCAA lane violation rule
Post by: golfingref on March 16, 2012, 11:34:43 PM
When can a player at the top of the key enter the arc or lane area when a teammate shoots a free throw? If you saw the Syracuse/Ashville or Notre Dame/Xavier game, you know what I am talking about.

Players lined up in a marked lane space can enter when the ball is released. Those not in a marked lane space are restricted until the ball hits the rim.

Until the ball hits the rim, flange, or backboard.  ;)
