I think the officials have to pay.   Something like $10 a quarter except from 4P - 7 P when they have happy hour specials so it is only 5$ per qtr

The reason I asked: LFL is starting up an Australian version and our officials have been asked to officiate. I (and I do not speak for the others) just wanted to know the game fees paid in the US. Thx.

Not sure I fully inderstand LPL.  Perhaps another example for thorough understanding, please.   ;)
To my understanding the majority of guys that worked it were NCAA officials.
That said, I would presume in the $500 range...
