Title: Enforcement spot
Post by: Watson on August 30, 2012, 11:28:16 AM
Hi guys. First-time poster here.
Here's the play:
Quarterback A12 retreats into his own end zone as if to pass. Before he can throw, B72 grasps and twists his face mask so that A12's helmet comes completely off his head. I am thinking the result of the play is a safety, since you would shut it down as soon as the helmet came off the runner's head. But is the enforcement spot the previous spot or the goal line? Appreciate your thoughts.

Previous spot is the basic spot for running play foul when the related run ends behind the neutral zone. Shut it down, enforce from previous spot. Auto 1st down.

2nd and 10 at the A's 25 yard line

A10 scrambles backwards B74 grabs and twist facemask at the A's 14 yard line.  A10 is is tackled at A's 20 yard line.
