Title: A vs. B substitution
Post by: inthepit on September 11, 2012, 09:09:47 PM
Team A substitutes three players.  Must team B be afforded the opportunity to substitute before team A snaps the ball?  NFHS rules.

Tried to find something regarding this. I dont see anything unless I missed it. So as far as I concerned, then no. Sounds like a good offensive tactic I guess.

NFHS does not address this as NCAA & NFL do.
Therefore, B is not afforded any opportunity.

Thank you all for your input.  I have read the NFHS rules book, case book and rules by topic book, all cover-to-cover (many time, I might add), and cannot find anything to support the affording of opportunity for B to "match uP' substitute.
