Just wondering if folks out there have noticed any particular changes this year in "discussions" from the sidelines this year with a couple of high profile media subjects related to football:
1. Focus on helmet contact: I seem to perceive a particular sensitivity to this subject this year and have been hearing quite a bit, particularly at the youth level
2. Focus on performance of NFL replacement officials: Don't know that I have noticed a difference, just wondering if others have

In almost every conversation I've had with a coach, player, friend, whatever, it always comes back to "you guys are missing the other team pulling my players helmet off".

..."you guys are missing the other team pulling my players helmet off".
"Have 'em strap it on tight, coach, and we won't have that problem." Just saying...

3 weeks ago my sideline's team had a variation of that, we had probably a half dozen come off. "There has GOT to be a reason why our helmets are coming off! We've been playing THREE weeks and we've not had a problem til now."
I never once saw an opponent pulling, yanking, or pushing. I notified the crew during a timeout and they all said the home team wasn't doing anything suspicious.
