Tony Corrente lived my worst nightmare during today's Dolphins-Colts game: cursing with an open mic during a televised game. :!#

Just sent that clip out to all my white hats.
I imagine he'll be talking to the Commish. :-[
-
Obviously, Mr. Corrente failed to expect the unexpected - a hot mic.
-
Yeah I agree, he screwed up - but what he said was far less than the words I read on the coach's lips during the game. Not that I'm a professional lip reader or anything.
-
It appears that the mic is always hot for the broadcast and they mute/unmute as needed. The switch on his belt is only for the stadium. So he was non the wiser it seems
-
He going to a phone call and get a fine I bet
-
Doubtful, it wasn't his screw up, but TVs.

The switch on the belt covers everything. And according to an article across this morning's wire, a f-bomb that preceeded the GD was heard in the stadium. The f-bomb did not make it on the air.
-
Boomer Esiason's Sunday re-cap on CBS Radio this morning reported the F-bomb but not the GDit.
Whether it was a network screwup or not, I imagine he might be getting an extra weekend off to write 1000 times "Turn off the switch".
I imagine Goodell will have to come down with some punishment given his penchant for the good of The Shield.
-
Perfect reminder as I prepare for my first "mic'd up" white hat this weekend. First white hat for a playoff game and first white hat for a televised game too.
I won't be saying anything without triple checking the mic now, lol
-
The first rule of having a microphone in your possession is always assume the mic is on.

In as far as any FCC violation: it would be on the network, not the official.
Network can put any delay thay want on the game to aviod these items. They fully know there is a high chance of hearing dirty language. Apparently they opted not to put the delay.

Have you have you watched TV lately? This wouldn't even get any notice from the FCC you can bet on that.
