OK, get your mind out of the gutter.... Grin

That is not what I meant....

I have a U14 player that is 5'10" and 155 lbs.  Not only is he one of the biggest players on the field, but he is usually the fastest and most physical (not a dirty player, just physical).  He can be running beside an opponent and they get tangled up and the other player goes down and he just runs through it.  He has gotten a caution for just this thing.

My question is:  Do refs take size difference and physical strength into consideration when making calls?

I have noticed that refs at Premier Leagues (Regional Division 1) tend to let the players play a little more physical (advantage for my guy) and less physical at the state level (Oklahoma Premier League).

Thanks,

It shouldn't do. If the guy's playing clean and fair then that's the end of it. Easier said than done when it comes to Youth soccer though. The one thing I've noticed over here in the U.K. is that you have to watch for the subtle 'leaning on' of the bigger guys on the little ones. Then it could be a foul ...
