While reading the new rule book, I found some strange changes, that confused me. Here are two examples:
ARTICLE 4. A dead ball is ready for play when:
a. With the 40-second play clock running, an official places the ball at a hash
mark or between the inbounds marks and steps away to
their position.
a. Player Possession.
The ball is in player possession when a player has the ball firmly in
theirgrasp by holding or controlling it with hand(s) or arm(s) while contacting
the ground inbounds.
What's the reason for this changes?
