7 on 7 Practice?

(1/4) > >>

TexDoc:
These guys are treading on thin ice.  I wonder if the UIL has the testicular fortitude to punish these two programs.

TXMike:
UIL just needs to do like they did with the summer conditioning programs.  Used to be no coaches allowed.  They realized that was not a good idea and changed the rule.  Same thing here. Let 'em coach!

504coach:
Get rid of 7 on 7, and go back to kids being kids during the summer.  If they want to meet up at school and throw the football then let them do that.  In my opinion 7 on 7 is a small step above AAU basketball.

TexDoc:
504 I'm with you.  I can certainly imagine coaches telling players if they do not play 7 on 7, forget about playing in the fall.  If you need a summer job to help the family, tough.

Etref:
I am also among those who think 7 on 7 is getting out of hand. Everyone knows the coaches are involved (seemingly except UIL).
