The instigators (both of them) managed to not get tagged for ejection, although in all 8 of their team mates did.
Can (Should?) replay provide assistance to onfield officials when there's a massive fight like this to make sure that the right players receive the right penalties? I thought they could, but after this, I'm not sure... what's the correct process for this?

Just me but likely should have DQ’ed all of them and go to locker room

It may just be me (I don't think so), but, IMHO, college football is rapidly turning into gang warfare. These types of skirmishes used to occur only once every few years. They are nearly weekly, now, with "in your face" confrontations occurring in virtually every game. The NCAA has no control on this. They lost that the moment they approved NIL. The transfer portal was bad enough, before NIL, but with that, these guys will go to the highest bidder, annually, and will behave as they want. And forget about playing in the post-season, unless it is a CFP game.
The only game I enjoyed watching this year was an FCS playoff game between Montana State and South Dakota. Very well behaved players. Very well played, and coached.
Sad to watch the decline, and I'm afraid we ain't close to the bottom, yet.

SADLY, I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment. Sadly, your assessment also applies to the relatively new practice of players making silly spectacles of themselves, either alone or in formed groups of players, when they do SOMETHING/ANYTHING right, calling attention to themselves prancing like little "sisters". That nonsense started (& seems encouraged) more at the NFL level, but is seeping it's way into televised NCAA level games and (God forbid) find it's way into NFHS and even Youth football. (YES TV is a contributing factor.)
It could be easily stopped by a CONSISTENT (Initial) flag of DOG, accompanied by a stern, personal assurance that any repeat offense would be considered UC, including disqualification.
(Dance practice & routines are reserved for "intermissions" and/or post game discussions. It would also help if Coaches actively helped in discouraging such childish (Player) behavior on and off the playing field & sideline areas before, DURING & after games.

The light shows enabled by the LED stadium lighting doesn't help things as well. There have been instances where the stadium goes black after a score right in the middle when a scuffle is breaking out.
