Are we to assume that questions dealing with time, i.e. runoff, are always 2nd or 4th period? Doesn't say in question 2. Likewise are we to assume the ball has left the free blocking zone, as in #7? Since it is the right pulling guard (question 7) and the ball is outside the left hash I would assume so.... but it would be nice to know.

My fav is C on question 23. I think that should be a choice for every question. tiphat:

I saw that ... at least the author has a sense of humor. Ditto the "where's the ball" in question 33. If the ball is in the low blocking zone but an unrestricted player leaves that zone and then returns, can he block low toward his own EL?

Where can I find this test? Or is it for registered people only?

Here it is. If you want actual credit for taking it and the scores turned into your supervisor then yes you have to register.

I did register and I will take the test but there is no supervisor to get my grades... I did it to have access to the full website and for the "fun"

Thanks, younggun. As an aspiring NCAA official, I haven't seen the sense in registering yet, but this gives me a chance to really start digging through!

Actually #7 says nothing about where the ball is.

The way I read the rule, ANY player may block back towards his own EL (anywhere on the field) as long as the ball is still in the newly described low blocking zone.

Fellow officials, you may want to re-download the exam. The wording on questions 7 and 33 was updated. Unfortunately, the lettering for the answers on #11 was not updated. :-(

The frustrating thing was that when I took the test online I missed a few .. and when I tried to test again to see the ones I missed, the questions were rearranged in a different random order ... each time you take the test the order of questions is different ... the multiple choice options also change. I understand their wanting to make it random so everyone has to 'test' and not just get the answers from someone else and plug them in ... but it makes it hard to know which questions we missed. So I suggest you print the test...answer the questions... and then when you test online match up the questions so you'll know which ones you missed. Or something.

Question. . .for #48, what do you think is the answer? &, why? Debating with some buddies and I seem to be the only one that thinks the answer is A (after reading the rulings for the entire 2013 replay casebook)! HELP!

Another play with a key bit of information left out. Since we do not know if the initial pass is forward or backward (which would be reviewable), the only practical answer is A.

It seems to be leading us into thinking it may be have been ruled backwards (location of the receiver) but not very clear.

Anyone else having problems with question 48? We are having a debate here with a few people between a couple of the answers. The only play in the 2013 Replay Case book that is simular is play 50, and that is what has some people hung up about this play. We know what the answer is when you turn it in for grading with the CFO, but some say that is'nt right. Just looking for more thoughts on this play. Thanks
