adjust and adapt... if his players are too big or too "out of shape" to be in the game for 10, 12 playes, then make a change in the team's core and get them in shape
I don't think this is a problem to be fixed in the rules

I agree.  If you're too out of shape to play, then keep guys in the game that can go 15 plays in a row.  The offense is playing just as many snaps as them!

What was his previous coaching assingment? Jr High???????
