Team A is set at the LOS, at the snap a lineman, the right guard, pulls and goes behind the QB for a backward handoff running to the left. He never completely faces his goal line. He gains 6 yards. Legal? (The rule book deals with a lineman facing his own goal line before receiving a forward handoff, but not a backward handoff.)

You've posted your question in the "General" section. Do you have a particular rule set in mind?
NFHS 7-3-1: "Any player may hand the ball backward at any time."
Your play is legal.

NCAA: legal play, rule 7-2-1.
