I received a surface for Christmas but can't view video in arbiter because not compatible to Silverlight, any suggestion?

Exchange it for a Dell Venue Pro 8.  It runs regular MS software.  You will have to download silverlight and then the update for it.

I bought one from WallyWorld back on Veteran's day but took it back after Thanksgiving when I couldn't get past the Dell boot screen.  My wife surprised me yesterday with another one.

Hudl requires Silverlight also.   Hudl reports that MS has agreed to support Silverlight for about 15 more years so they intend to keep it as their video platform.

Don't even ask about iPad.  #%^¥ Steve Jobs, RIP.  Won't run MS or Flash although there is a partial workaround for Flash.
