Did no one tell the L that a tee came out?

I wondered the same thing.  LJ was def not ready for that long of a FG attempt haha

In Illinois (5 Man) the LJ is instructed to stay on the line on any plays that begin with the scrimmage line outside the 25 yard line. The BJ then has both posts; begins in the middle of the goal posts and moves in the direction of the ball flight. This prevents LJ from having a long run to the post and then ending up in no-man's land.

For 5 man, unless this was a game-critical kick, our association would usually only have the B back as well.  The R has the discretion to send L when the ball in snapped from outside the R 15, but will only generally do so late in the half/game for a game-winning or game-tying kick.

We used to keep the wing at the LOS if the ball was snapped outside the 20. We had a game where the kick started toward one upright so the B moved that way. The wind grabbed it and pushed it toward the other upright. He wasn't able to get there in time. He had to make his best guess, but he had a horrible angle. Since then we make sure we have one on each upright. It doesn't happen very often.

This is a screw up by our crew. The WH should not have blown the RFP until the LJ was there. I believe that they were a little surprised by the kick and were not paying attention.
