Team A is in a standard short yardage formation, tight splits , 2 tight ends, QB under center, all 3 backs bunched close to QB. QB takes snap and tries to slip between center and guard. He gains about a yard and is brought down in a pile. What would be the minimum amount of time you would expect it would take for Team A to get up , get in same positions, and snap again?

Assuming B cooperates without unnecessarily delaying? ~35 on the Play Clock...give or take a second (guessing)

Agree with SJ, around 10 seconds if they are quick with it.

Your probably looking at about 15 seconds of "game time" before A can legally snap the ball again.
Here's my line of thinking, assuming B complies:
10 seconds to unpile and spot the ball
1 second to reset the play clock
3 seconds to get into formation
1 second to get set
A may be able to shave 1 or 2 seconds if they get right into formation and are set, but don't think getting ready to play much sooner than that is realistic.

Thanks guys. I have a "Part 2" to this but want to see if maybe some others are willing to chime in with their best guess at how fast it can be done.

Minimum on a sneak up the middle would me about five seconds.

I would have a range of somewhere between 8-15 seconds with the variable being primarily distance from the original spot, and how big the pile was at the end of the run. As TxMike describes the play here, I'd have it close to the 8 second end.
