So far this year, I haven't seen a high school game where the referee hasn't said something over the mic that was meant just for his crew.

The worst was in a game where the crowd was already less than thrilled with the crew and, after announcing the penalty he asks "Where are we?" over the PA.

Or at least flex-fit hats. I wouldn't say that the guy who realized you could make hats flex-fit should be made a saint. I will say that I wouldn't complain if he were, though.

I'm not a Catholic, but I believe one needs two miracles to qualify for Sainthood. If the flex-hat inventor also was instrumental in a Red Sox/Cubbie World Series, he would get my vote (if I had one) 8].
