“After this, I’m not going to shake anybody’s hand after the game,” he joked to the Morning Herald.
Sadly, it may one day come to this.

Do you wait around after the game and shake hands?
Once the clock hits 0:00, (and Score A- Score B > 0), we are on our way. There may be a wave to acknowledge the coaches, but I don't stick around to shake anybody's hand. Our job is done, lingering on the field can only lead to issues.

If I'm right there by the coaches, or if they seek us out, I'l shake their hand. I'm not going looking for them, though. Need to get to the postgame sNiCkErS.

Agree

The most I do with the coach is a wave and "good job". When I'm on the wings I always tell my ball person great job. Never physical contact

As a "math guy"... |Score A - Score B| > 0
Otherwise if B wins... :sTiR:
However, I agree. Game's over, all 5 of us meet in the field and jog off together. Don't hang around, unless we're waiting for the clock operator (and then off the side of the field, away from both teams).

Nerd. nAnA
But you are correct.

As the WH I shake both coaches hands and say "good luck the rest of the season". I get not shaking hands and why you would not want to shake hands. If I was a College Official I would not shake hands. This is high school. Being a teacher I am probably on a first name basis with 95% of the coaches in the area. This is still a relationship venture.

This is so blown out of proportion it's not even funny. Besides, everybody knows that bribes should be delivered to the locker room after the game, not on the field for everyone to see. Just like in the spy movies. *
*It's a joke. If you, casual fan browsing Ref Stripes to prove that the NFL referees are bought off because you lost your fantasy game yesterday, thought this was real then please turn yourself in to the local police for oxygen larceny.

I worked a game for this team and coach earlier this season. This team and coaching staff are very impressive. The whole group were very polite, well behaved and professional. No stinking way there was anything inappropriate going on and trolls that even suggest it should be strung up.
