D-II pool is usually set once they get to 4 teams but no league will work a final if they have a team in it. I assume FCS and D-III work similarly.

Correct, OAC and MVFC officials usually don't work the finals

From my experience, the Championship game crew is selected from the 8 crews that work the 2nd round of the playoffs. My crew was lucky enough to be selected out of the 2nd round back in 2015 for the championship for D3. I believe that D2 works the same way.

Here are a few I heard about today:
UMHB vs Chapman - SAA
Sioux Falls vs Midwestern St- GAC
Ferris St vs Fort Hays St - LSC
Live United Bowl - GAC
Heart of Texas Bowl - LSC
SDSU vs NDST - Southland
SWAC Champ - SWAC
Weber St vs James Madison - Southland
W Fl vs IU-Pennsylvania - LSC

Just a FYI:
SDSU is playing UNH, Southern is working
Big Sky is at NDSU, playing Wofford
MVC is working at Sam Houston, playing Kennesaw.

No. The NCAA usually keeps pretty quiet about. Those working are usually the ones who leak that out.
