Title: Officials for New League
Post by: TampaSteve on April 10, 2018, 08:15:56 AM
Logic tells me it will be mostly active D1 guys.
But would there be any guy in the NFL 'pipeline' working these?

There won't be any "pipeline" guys involved if they want to stay in the pipeline.
 ^no

Why do you say that? Seems like plenty of NFL guys have worked Arena league in their past, for example.

Huge difference.  Arena was not only not seen as competition for the NFL, but was supported by the NFL, particularly with officiating.  Arena was a training program for potential NFL officiating candidates.
This new league will be competition, even if they are opposite each other by the calendar.  I’m sure that those on track, even if not in the ODP, for the NFL will stay away from this new league.

That makes sense.
