Our crew needs to update our radios and microphone/ear piece for next season.
The quality of our current ones isn't up to what we want. The quality and volume of the sound in the ear piece is the main issue that we have.
What do you recommend?
Thanks.

People around here use Retevis and it's not bad.
BUT, just do a search on this forum for "raido" or "O2O" and you'll have a dozen topics to look at.

I use Midland LXT600BB License Free radios with the basic earpieces. Other high school and college officials in my association also use them. They are a common radio in my area. EBO members have Arcshell radios that work well. I've used the stock Baofeng earpiece that had issues with static. Right now, I have Arcshell, Baofeng, and Midland earpieces. Midland seems to work very well.

Cheapest I've found. Other sites are $60-70. I have the K1 (Kenwood, Retevis, Baofeng) 2 pin connector model but they also make a M1 Motorola 2 pin model.
Started out with a set of Baofeng's. Got some used Motorola's and the quality is much better and they're idiot proof.
If one is partial to security style earpieces, Decibullz makes a kit to seal the earpiece off to custom fit for about $30 or you can search on YouTube for some cheaper methods to make your own.
