…are those stupid, horrid, awful electronic whistles. Good riddance. Never show your ugly carcasses around here, again.
-
I never got one. I worked with an R & U during the abbreviated Fall '20 NC private school season that bought them. The R got frustrated with it by the 3rd qtr of the first game and switched to an old finger whistle.
The only thing I did was take some small zip baggies I had and cut a small split in the seam bottom for my lanyard whistle tip to protrude through.

I can barely even hear a Acme Thunderer or those girly Fox 40's.

I guess you wouldn't want to see my pink Fox 40...

I never got one, either, but my L did. In addition to several instances when he sounded his e-whistle (well, he SAID he sounded it) for a legitimate reason, but play continued, and we had some explaining to do when we brought the ball back to his spot, we (he) also had an IW, when he, unthinkingly, pressed the button while tracking a ball carrier. But, he is back to a 'woodwind' whistle (so to speak), now. Yea!

You do know there is a trick to make those Fox 40 loud don't you?
First time I used a Fox 40 was when I was a lifeguard here in Houston. When I first blew into it, I could hardly hear it ^flag
I learned in order for the fox 40 loud, you have to flick your tongue while you blow, that is what gives the fox 40 it's loud noise.
And yes, I am not ashamed to admit, I have a pink fox 40 whistle too ;D

My reference to Fox 40 had nothing to do with the pinkness. I call it a girls whistle solely on it's quiteness. Now that I think about it, don't know too many girls that are quiet so I may need to come up with a better comparison. Hope my wife doesn't see this. ;D

The world's funniest joke:
"Two women were sitting together quietly..." (The end.)
