In a HS game in NY the defensive team intercepts the ball in the end zone. While attempting to run it out he fumbles the ball in the end zone which is recovered by the offensive team. What is the call? This was the determining factor of the game..

As an NCAA official that sure sounds like a touchdown to me. As I understand the NF rules a fumble and an interception stays live in the EZ, and as the team A is in legal possession in the team B EZ, all requirements for a TD are met.

it's a TD.

I am curious as to what call you wanted and what was called.

Welcome, Shippos, to our forum. May you find it both informative and enjoyable. In you play, the ball remained alive while in the end zone with the results of a touchdown. If the fumble had gone out of bounds, even if muffed by the offense, it would be a touchback as the offense had put the ball in the end zone where the defense was in last possession.
Hope this helps.

Possession of a live ball in the opponent’s end zone is always a touchdown. NFHS Football Fundamentals I-8 and rule 8-2-1.

I am also curious.
However, based on the lack of a response, I'm guessing it was correctly ruled as a touchdown.
