In blowout games, I've seen a few instances recently where the remaining periods were shortened through mutual agreement (as per 3-2-2-a). However, that got me thinking of a few scenarios where the rule book doesn't seem to have a lot of guidance.
a) Is there a minimum time for each remaining period?
b) Consequently, can the second half be effectively cancelled by having remaining periods be 0 minutes?
c) If I was a head coach, I'd only agree if the time was set to something very random, like 5:17. In the memo they sent out the following Monday, how big would the exasperated sigh be?

No, no specific time. If you're making them zero minutes, that's the same as ending the game, which you are allowed to do by mutual agreement.

I had a game where we second half quarters to 2 minutes each before due to lack of available daylight on fields with no lights.
