Title: Dead Ball / Live Ball

What happens when this happens . Team B (DE) jumps in the netural zone but before the ball is snap Team A outside receiver starts early . What do we have

The reason is because the false start occurs first.  Defense being in the neutral zone is not a foul until after the balls is snapped.  It is impossible by rule to have a offside / false start offsetting situation.  One will always be before the other happens.

We basically had this on Saturday.
Defensive tackle jumps and does a very quick swim move. He has his hand on the OLer very quickly.
RB misses the snap count and jumps early at the same time - question needed to be resolved which came first, the contact of the hand, or the movement of the RB. We had the RB moving a shade before the hand actually touched.

Also, my philosophy is- when in doubt, put it on the offense.  They know the snap count
