Title: Clock Status?
Post by: TampaSteve on September 12, 2011, 07:46:39 AM
Maybe I have my head in my rear.
A has the ball 1/10 on a change of possession, so the clock is on the snap.
1/10 play was a dive play in the middle and we had a hold.
B accepted the penalty. - so we have 1/20 or so.
R starts the clock on the ready.
Wouldn't the clock be on the snap since it was on the snap on the prior play which we had a penalty?

Prior play doesn't matter.  How did the play with the penalty end?  It ended without a major clock stopper, so when resumed, it will start on the ready.

When officials work your games, do they make you wear a white hat?

Not sure about the white hat but did see AB in a pretty flashy red wind suit in Blind Side. pi1eOn

REPLY: Well, if you have good eyes and know what you're looking for, you can save the discomfort of a colonoscopy!

Yeah, 'cause having your whole head in there would be very comfortable.
